The Hernia Symposium was a truly engaging event organized by the OSS in March 2023. It
involved a number of speakers from all over the country. The event focused on a number of
important topics in the field of hernia surgery, such as complex hernia repairs, laparoscopic
hernia approaches, dealing with obesity and advanced age in hernia surgery, and approaches to
hiatal hernia repair. The interactive program also involved multiple debates, which were
engaging to the audience. The highlight of the event was the presence of two international
experts in hernia surgery: Prof. David Lomanto, from the National University Hospital in
Singapore, and Prof. Abdullah Aldohayan, from King Saud University in Saudi Arabia. The event
